I'm disappointed they haven't even made an attempt to improve the performance, I was expecting this patch to address it slightly. The issue with the game is there is no culling (frustum, occlusion, etc.). Hopefully next patch, the game is great other than the performance.
Yea you're right, I took some time and looked into it, it's 4NP, so slight differences from Ada 4N.
So Nvidia's probably looking to reduce manufacturing costs and optimize. Might not be a large performance bump this generation except on maybe the 5090. Explains why the rumors are leaning to...
The 4090 performs about 15% less efficiently at 350W compared to 600W in demanding games e.g., Metro Exodus (EE). I hope the 5090 can scale up to 600W for those who want that option. However, if the 5090 has a dual-slot design, it might max out at around 400W, which could still be as effective...

I really don't see the point in this, since the current 4090 cooler handles 600W without issue.
The visuals look like how I remember the first game, but I bet if I went back and played it I would be a little let down lol. Hellblade 2 looks fantastic, looks like they're using hardware lumen at least in the a good portion of the scenes shown (might be custom integrated full RT, but I doubt...
This has been floating around on reddit today.
If those specs are true the 5090 will be 60% faster... 50% more SM/Cuda Cores/RT Cores/Tensor Cores, 15% Clock increase, 77% more L2 cache, 50% more memory bandwidth.
Ducking is still the better way to avoid a grab. I did try stepping a few in ranked yesterday and was unsuccessful, might be a smaller window.
The the counter-hit noise on grabs is definitely a bug. Makes me wonder if they even test the patch before deploying it lol. Other than that the patch...
Yea there are definitely issues with the launch firmware. A few days ago I reported a bunch of issues to LG, hopefully they fix them. But honestly you should probably be looking at mini-led if brightness is a concern for you. I don't think OLEDs will get much brighter until the burn-in issue is...
I can say that the 32GS95UE is a lot brighter than the 27GR95QE, but that's the only OLED comparison I can make, it's the only OLED I've had in the same environment.
I know display tech intermediate level, I was a certified AV Technician for 6 years, but a lot of my work was with projectors...
Depends what you're after brightness or low latency and motion clarity, you can't have both right now. I don't see OLEDS getting any brighter until they solve the burn-in issues, they probably already are artificially limited, to prevent loads of warranty claims.
I will be keeping the display, it's very good. It is definitely one of the best displays for gaming.
It has some flaws, I've reported issues I have with it to LG. They are all relatively minor annoyances.
Personally I avoid the grey market sites. Years ago I bought Thief (2014) on one of the grey market sites, the game was eventually removed from my account, not that I cared, because it was bad. I only buy from sites listed on https://isthereanydeal.com, they are all authorized key sellers.
