ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG with GLOSSY WOLED panel + "OLED Anti-Flicker"

TFT Central, RTings and Unboxed results often line up, so it's safe to say they're using more reliable and consistent methodologies. Check the HDR results on the AW2725DF for each of them. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/alienware-aw2725df...

    ViewSonic XG272-2K - Blurbuster's Certified 240hz 1440p OLED display

A Review from Jayz, and it's a shame he barely showed the potential of BFI, which is the biggest reason to buy this monitor. We'll have to wait for more competent reviewers. https://youtu.be/HGYyV-v9c1E?t=717

Stop playing modern AAA garbage and 4k/240hz will be easily achievable ;)

ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG with GLOSSY WOLED panel + "OLED Anti-Flicker"

Not a bad price for mid-range to be honest. It will make prices on the second hand market even lower and more people will be able to afford an OLED.

This better be sub $600, 1440/240hz is so 2022.

Yea, let's compare similar performing LCD and OLED displays, the Samsung Neo G8 and the Dell AW3225QF. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-neo-g8-s32bg85 https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/alienware-aw3225qf The LCD has noticeably worse scores in: Worse Response...

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

More like: "Golf GTI, the death knell of Honda Civic SI's" :) Dont get me wrong, LCDs can still exist. But they have to be cheaper because they perform worse. If a 4k/240hz OLED costs $900, like the MSI model, then an equivalent LCD should cost $600.

New Blue PHOLED will solve burn-in for good apparently. Also, what is that "something"? This "something" will need to be better at what OLED already does, while not costing significantly more.

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

Can you try making a custom resolution for 2560x1440@360hz, please? The monitor should have enough bandwidth to handle this. Also, how does the monitor scale 1920x1080 and 1280x720 in 4k/240hz mode? Is it sharp like the 1080p/480hz mode?

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

In my experience, VRR flicker mostly happens on menus/loading screens where the frames can radically vary, specially in solid color backgrounds. I've never seen it happening in actual gameplay. It might be more noticeable on OLEDs but it also happens on LCDs, I notice it big time on my Odyssey...

Sharing settings/icc profiles is useless because each panel is individually calibrated at the factory, so it will never look the same just by sharing settings.

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

Most never go back to LCD. It's impossible to accept the poor uniformity and bad viewing angles once you see an OLED. All high-end monitors coming out this year are OLEDs, so anyone who needs a high performer will need to get an OLED, I have yet to see a comparable LCD offering. The only group...

    ViewSonic XG272-2K - Blurbuster's Certified 240hz 1440p OLED display

This is the first OLED of its kind to offer adjustable BFI, up to half of the total refresh (240hz). Adjustable BFI@240hz means it's possible to reach the same Pixel Blur Persistence as the maximum refresh. At 240hz pixel persistence is around 4.2ms, but because OLEDs have perfect response...

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

As expected, a 480hz OLED destroys any 500hz+ LCD because of response time. You can clearly see the eyes of the alien without motion blur reduction techniques. https://i.imgur.com/xILPF7x.jpeg To reach similar motion to the OLED, an LCD would need to be at least 700hz and have pixel response...

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

What is this supposed to mean? That I need to own something to have an opinion instead of relying on professionals? Or that good reviewers cant be trusted? And that's it, OLEDs beat LCDs at every other relevant performance metric. Prove me otherwise.

    LG 32GS95UE – OLED 31.5″ with 4K @ 240Hz and 1080p @ 480Hz Support - The death knell of LCD panels

Most valid one for brighter highlights, which is the point of HDR in the first place. I'll also reply with a real scene test showing that OLEDs arent behind most LCDs. Anyone paying $800 for an LCD that performs worse than any OLED needs to use that money for medical help rather than on a new...

I mean, so far the roadmap has been true, and I remember doubters last year saying "DUDE, THERE'S NO WAY THEY'LL MAKE A 32" 4K/240HZ AND A 480HZ OLED, IT'S TOO EARLY MAN". And yet, here we are.

How do your eyes not hurt from HDR?

He's correct, properly mastered HDR material should be able to assign the appropriate brightness values for each individual pixels, along with the display being able to track it. That's why in HDR mode contrast/pixel brightness should be maxed.
