Well, if you consider you have 3 months to step-up, it may just be worth it, even if its not 512.

nice price. i thought 7950 meant 512 though?? not like the extra 256 makes much of a difference

ya i noe its only 256mb :( but 512mb is for higher resolutions and stuff like that, hey its a hell of a price! then u only have to pay 200 more in a 3 month period to get the 8800gts!

Ya'll are seriously killing my will power with this and the $79 7600GT deal. I'm really trying to hold off on upgrading until the cheaper DX-10 cards come out. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!! :D
Stop it!!

I'm doing that too, but mostly so I can get a cheaper/faster DX9 card. I don't think DX10 is going to matter much for another year or so. I know that Crysis will be out, but how much better is questionable, and I certainly don't want to pay a premium for a 1G Dx10 card.

guys if i have a 6800gt AGP card is it really worth it for a 7950? or would it be better to wait till the 8800s drop in price some more? i dont care about dx10 right now like you said, it wont matter for a while

At that price? I say it's worth it to move to 7950 personally.

Only thing is if he has a AGP 6600GT now he will have to have a PCI-E motherboard as well.

I'll be switching to a DX-10 card... as soon as there are games using DX-10.
