I believe that 7800gtx is about as powerful as the x1900gt. At stock speeds of course.

I bought open box video cards from newegg before... There's nothing wrong with them and include all accessories...

They are basically brand new cards with full warranty... Of course if you found anything wrong with them you can always return in and get all your money back...

At $130... These things are a steal for how much performance you get for $$$...

I'm getting good performance out of it... Check out my...

dude, the 7800gtx has 24 pipelines, the 1900 has only 12. I could be wrong though but thats what Newegg says.

I was surprised: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/350/8 Too bad they didn't run more benchmarks, just Doom3 and Far Cry.

THG's VGA charts has more games: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html?modelx=33&model1=549&model2=525&chart=199

cheap X1900 GT cards FTW!

actually those tests are for the 574 mhz version of the x1900gt. the card listed in this link is 512mhz core. yes you could overclock it, but, is that performance guaranteed?

Yea I am not sure why it says 12 pixel pipelines, but in parentheses it says 36 pixel shader processors. So there are probably 3 processors per pipeline. Although, the VGA chart at tom's hardware uses the higher core clocked x1900gt, the one at newegg has higher memory clocks, and the 2 versions supposedly perform the same. The below thread does a good comparison of video cards on the market right now. So the card does look to be a really good deal.

The new cores are about 5% slower but that doesn't stop the user from volt mod since AMD/ATI lowered the Vcore on the new 1900gt...

Out of factory the GPU overclocks 575mhz easily... Mine does 580 with stock cooling... Memory goes to whopping 800mhz without artifacts...

It does run a little hot you might need a better cooler if you're volt modding...

Dangling dongles don't do it for me.

Alliteration aside I find them annoying.
