Benton, you pretty much just got de_stroyed.
Thread should be closed because it's a lie.

Guys guys, chill. He was just trying to help someone who maybe wanted a Chocolate phone or something. Sure it's a bit misleading, but the fact is he posted with the intent to help and you chew him out is just retarded.
Thanks Benton. Too bad it's not free w/o activation. :)

Not to mention, when has there ever been a free phone thats popular without the activation clause?

The only reason I said anything is because he said "nice reading skills" to Luxor when he was blatantly wrong, but I digress. Not only is the title misleading, it's not a hot deal at all.

You can clearly tell from reading the original post that a new "contract" is required.
It is a shame that this country is dumbing it's citizens down =( No reading comprehension whatsoever...
Whoever thought (i.e. Luxor)...even after reading the title of this thread, that a phone would be "no strings attached," is completely dumb as a stick !

There are plenty of things free after rebates. Don't insult someone for thinking that that's the case.

Yes, plenty of stuff is free after rebate.
Lock please? It's not hot for one, and the title is misleading still.

Probably a good deal for someone who doesn't have a cellular plan in their name. Thanks.

Sweet! My wife has been dropping hints on the chocolate for a few weeks now. We are both out of contract and I've been eyeing Verizon for a family plan.
As far as the thread title. Americans (in general) have grown so lazy that even newspapers caught on to the idea that we only read the headline.
Just look around the associated press website a few weeks and you will see what I mean. Headlines that have little to do with the actual story.

I'm glad I helped some of you guys out. Was it really that hard to click the link instead of freaking out on the internet?

It doesn't need to be locked. Stop threadcrapping.

Instead of locking this Hot Deal I vote 1 week ban for Luxor for thread crapping.

Really, go ahead, I could careless... but I don't feel that is the right. The first original post was the thread crapper anyways.
And when people aren't right and think they are right, that's when I LOVE to prove them wrong. It's quite possibly my most favorite thing to do...
If you read the RULES of the forum, you can clearly see my post falls under rule #10.
I'll quote that for you here for your convenience...
10. If you disagree with a "[H]otDeal" please articulate your reasons in the thread itself.
And my post did not flame anyone in any manner.
Thanks. ;)
