Alright, so most raid controller cards say 2TB per array limitation. But with controller cards that support up to 12 drives, I've gotta ask, how many arrays can you simultaneously run on that card? Can you run more than one array/volume on a RAID controller card?

Pretty sure on almost all raid cards you can run as many volumns and raid sets that you want. LIke you can have 4 drives in raid 5, and 2 in raid 0 and the other 6 in raid 6 or whatever your card supports. You should also be able to set the drives as pass through to use like an ordinary hard drive on your os non raid. This might only be with mid to high end cards.

So if I have a 12 channel controller (IDE), I could theoretically run two raid 5 arrays? (7506-12)

So if I have a 12 channel controller (IDE), I could theoretically run two raid 5 arrays? (7506-12) In most cases i would say yes, but its best to check with the manufacturer before you buy something.
