Sweet deal, I'll be picking one up on Monday. I'd grab it tomorrow, but I don't want to miss one second of the Super Bowl.

Well, its a bit cheaper than newegg. And Im in need of a new monitor now since I just sold mine. Kinda makes me worry since there is a lot of reviews on newegg that the monitor bleeds. Can someone give me a better description of what bleeding on a monitor means?

Pretty much all of the 22's out right now bleed to one extent or the other. Check out the monitor forum for a bit more info on it.

I think the bleeding refers to light that escapes from the top and bottom.

I have one.
For the price you can't beat it.

Because I was bored, I went to buy one. Looks pretty nice, it does bleed on top like most reviews said, but its not so bad. Only thing is, I finally got it home, struggled a bit putting th connections (expected, because of reviews) and I have one stuck pixel. Im running a software to hopefully revive it, I hoping it comes back.

Thanks for the link OP. I have been searching for a 22" Widescreen for the last couple of weeks now, and because of this local deal (Houston,TX) I finally made up my mind and bought one.

Definately check the Displays section before buying ANY monitor! This one (and all 22" LCDs) is a TN panel which - I beleive - is the cheapest kind you can get (the best being IPS, second is VA, third is TN). That's my understanding at least. There's a whole thread devoted to this monitor in the Displays section, check it out.

Good luck!

This IS the 22" Westinghouse that was a BlackFriday $299 deal. So now $30 less using Chimei's own name for the same device.

$289 from Acer.Free 3-Day shipping to boot on the 22" Acer. When you factor in shipping costs on the Chimei (CMV) they come out to nearly the same price.

Chimei vs Acer

Microcenter still has the Chimei 22 inch wide screen for $269. I just bought one in store yesterday...........my review will follow after l have had time to use it. No dead pixels that I have been able to detect so far.

Mine came with a dead/stuck pixel, but I returned it and got another one.

Get an lcd cleaning kit and gently clean/massage the area around the stuck pixel. Ive fixed like 5 monitors this way

I went on Friday and picked one up.. didn't really like it. Lots of bleeding, and a non-adjustable stand makes it pretty much useless to me. Colors look awesome, as does the refresh rate, not to mention the price. Angle of viewing SUCKS.

IF you buy one and want to return it, expect problems. They wanted 15% restocking on it, I threw a pretty good sized fit and they refunded all my money. Pretty cool guy that helped me actually, he went around the policy, but took 2 calls to his manager. Just FYI.

Well, I have had a few days to use this monitor now. All I can say is WOW!!! I bought this as an upgrade form a 17 inch ViewSonic VX715. No dead pixels, no blurring of text when I am scrolling. Movies play perfectly with no ghosting like my old monitor did. I am still trying to learn aspect ratios for widescreen so I have a a full screen. I am just not used to that part yet, so it really isn't a problem. Just a small bit of bleeding on the outer-most edges, but, then again, every LCD I have ever looked at in store displays, had some bleeding. The inclosed CD offered no drivers for the monitor, at least that I have been able to find. I have also found that the highest refresh rate is only 60 hertz. If anyone out there has found drivers for this monitor, can you please post a link?? About the only other thing that I can find to complain about, is that they put a green/amber LED on the monitor. Everyone else is now using a blue/amber LED on their monitor. I haven't seen a green LED since I last used a CRT.

yes, the BF Westinghouse deal was $199 since I was lucky enough to find one someone had set down in the aisle of another department...(!)

yeah, ive had this for a couple weeks now, and i must say i am pretty impressed, even though i'm not a monitor expert or anything.
getting this as an upgrade from a 19" CRT from 2001 was very nice.
being my first LCD, i dont think i have much to say that probably doesnt apply to every lcd out there (very clear when in the proper resolution, etc) mine came with no dead/stuck pixels. i agree that the nonadjustable stand was a little bit of a letdown, since overall, the screen is lower than the crt and it makes me end up looking downwards a bit. overall i like it, and my dad likes it for the price haha. we actually ended up getting two, one for me, one for him. if you're in need of a nice cheap large lcd, this is going to be your best bet.

picked one up on saturday. a HUGE (literally) improvement over my 2 year old dell 17" lcd.
crisp, clear, my 7600gt drives it JUST fine, and they were nice enough to include a dvi cable. it compares VERY favorably to my wife's new 19" gateway monitor, although i have NO idea who the oem is for that lcd.

Microcenter dropped the price to $259.99 USD. Of course they did this AFTER a lot of us bought them.

My girlfriend got me one for Christmas and I really really like it. There is some bleeding at the top and bottom that you can see when the screen is completely black (not really when using) and the viewing angle is not so great, but for the price it is excellent. I highly recommend this beast.
