Circuit City has Madden NFL 07 (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Madden-NFL-07-PC/sem/rpsm/oid/157165/catOid/-16501/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) and FIFA 07 (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/FIFA-Soccer-07-PC/sem/rpsm/oid/161850/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) for $7.99 for PCs. It's also an in store deal.

Its an EA game.... therefore no widescreen support.
Supposedly (according to widescreen gaming forum) a new update provides widescreen resolutions up to 1600x900, but the aspect ratio is still for 4:3 screens.

There is a patch that allows FIFA 2007 to do Widescreen at that resolution, but not Madden.

Just got back from Burbank & Glendale CC's. Of course neither had FIFA 07 in stock despite what their POS system said.
They claim that they're database is off because people steal from them and they even apologized for being disorganized. Don't people take inventory anymore?
I wasted two hours and a couple of bucks for parking. Circuit City can suck a fat one. I will never set foot there again.
This deal may be hot for Madden, but it's colder than the Arctic for FIFA 07, especially not being available online.

They only do inventory a couple times a year.

id get them if it was for the 360 :( i agree about circuit city, the one near my job has the most horrible pc game section. its just 2 big rows of games randomly sorted and placed like books on a bookshelf. its impossible to figure out whats what..

Same here. Then again, Best Buy isn't all that great either (better than CC, but that's saying very little). About the only place I've been in recently that has a great selection of PC titles is Fry's (but I wouldn't drive 200 miles to buy a game from them ;)) Best Buy use to have more, as I recall, but these days they have an aisle of games (left and right side) and that's it. Gamestop is ok, but they don't seem to have much more than BB when it comes to PC games.
As for the inventory issue, it is true that retailers only do inventory once or twice a year. When I worked retail many years ago, it was a major PITA, and we were a lot smaller than CC. My guess is that CC doesn't have this issue with items that are in the in-store wharehouse, but games just sit on the shelf and I guess they're easilly stolen (though why someone would steal a game in store rather than steal it online (where the risk is much lower) is beyond me.

I went to a THIRD store today and despite it being in shambles, the game was there.
