The last time I bought refurb graphics card it was a 9700 Pro and it worked great. So I will assume this one would too.

I wouldnt think they would all be refurbs, those returned step-up cards have to go somewhere. Great card at the price, Loved mine and I paid like $250 for it last year.

You definently are thread crapping. How is that even relevant to this deal? Your card costs more anyways and is smeared in anything but oblivion, which it only beats the 7800GT by 3fps on average.

This is a [H]ot deal because these cards are normally around $300. The performance of your ATI card is completely irrevalent. Please do not thread crap, it is rude and obnoxious.

just don't get one of the 500/1500 7900GT cards. They have major issues with artifacting, (I'm on my second bad card, thank you lifetime warranty).

I don't think the 7800GT cards had the issues though, as the silicon wasn't pushed as hard by the board makers.

I had two 6600gt cards in SLI which were replaced by one 7800gt and it's over twice as fast as what I had before. I run everything maxed out with no probs whatsoever.

Great deal. I would get another for SLI but I'm cheap and lazy.

I bought a refurbished 7800GT last month for $125 and am loving it. I play WOW at full settings on my 20.1" Dell. BF2/2142 look great at medium, and UT2k4 is stellar at full settings.

Great for most gamers who don't need to be on the bleeding edge.

I doubt it... I had a first gen 7900GT that had bad memory myself... it's anything 3dish being messed up, discolored, jaggies throughout the screen, stuff like that. You'd see it in everything 3d, not just specific apps/settings.

How so? I'm running a 6600GT right now and was looking at this as a cheap upgrade for Supreme Commander. What resolution are you running at?

Yes and No, VIVO = Video In Video Out


Basically it has inputs for whatever you want to hook up to it, but it doesn't have a tuner. You could output it to your TV, but it will just be your desktop or whatever on the TV. I'm sure with the right software you could capture with it.

Do you think its worth buying one of these? If I am looking to spend 100-130$ on a new video card is the best bang for my buck? Also, does anyone know more of the specifics if you get a bad refurb? I heard its like 30 days through newegg, but if you send in the warrenty card that comes with the unit youget a lifetime through the company, and I heard they have great, fast clear-english speakings customer service reps...
