Wow that dropped fast. Good thing I just sold mine for $175 and have a $50 rebate pending.

Great price on a good card. Probably the highest you would want to go on a Socket A system before the video card becomes too overpowering.

Good deal...most of them are well over $150 still.

why would they be dropping the price on this?
Any word on Nvidia 8 series cards coming to AGP?
I've got a P4 3.2 o/ced to 3.6 that I'd like to upgrade my 6800GT --- I'd prefer to wait for an 8 series AGP card, BUT for this price I might have to break down.

I've heard conflicting reports on the Nvidia 8 series on AGP. I've heard it said from Nvidia that the 8 series architecture cannot run on AGP hence there will be no AGP 8 series parts, but I've also heard that there will be some (of course, this was from the Inq), so who knows. If I were still on AGP, either this card or the X1950Pro are your best options. $130 is the lowest I've ever seen this card go for FWIW.

I don't think 7800GS is much of an upgrade to your 6800GT.

That's why I've been holding off...But the primary PC game I play is titan quest and the 7800GS is nearly 3-4x's faster in titan quest than the 6800GT for some reason. Pretty odd, because normal benchmarks aren't "that" much better with the 7800GS.
But titan quest is a REAL favorite of mine and my wife and it runs only on medium settings at playable frame rates with the 6800GT on my current rig.

i picked the card up - it's significantly better than the 6800GT in titan quest and that's the whole reason I wanted it.
I used to play at 1024x768 with medium high settings/shadows low with no AA and AF
Now I play at 1152 x 864 with everything maxed out and AA and AF on too and get about the same very playable framerates.

I was wondering if anyone got this card at the time of this rebate because I did and I mailed in the rebate form and everything almost 2 weeks ago. I tried to track my rebate on the EVGA website and it's still not listed in their systems. Just curious if I should be worried.
When I bought a 360 at microcenter for $200 with the $100 mail in rebate it took like 2-3months for the rebate to come in.
