Decent PSU? Doesn't seem like it if the price is under $30 for 500W. Horrible reviews too.

I have a 500W coolmax that still runs after 4-5 years. Of course, different models so YMMV ;).

I have a CP 500T and it's been great. dual 12v 18A rails, and all volts run very close to spec. It's very quiet too, and equipped with OV protect and PFC. The advertised 95% efficiency is a joke, but tests report it north of 80%, which is fine.


The reason that one's low priced, is because it only has 1 sata run, and one of the 12v rails is only 16A (the other is 18). no PCI-e (?!) and no PFC. I'm sure it'll work for a spare parts rig or something, or a replacement for an older AGP system. In that case, it's hard to argue with free. :D
