Wow, these drives just keep falling in price. With the paypal rebate bringing it to about 20 cents per gig, I may just be tempted enough to buy one.

Seriously, we need a sticky for Seagate/Maxtor deals. There're like three threads per day.

If you are referring to the above guy:

He wants it for parts, so is trying to get it cheaper.

Right. But there's another place for that.

And he posted in that area already.
Whats the big deal?
People talk about their experiences with stuff in here all the time.
This guy is probably hoping that someone will read the link who has a drive, and rather than say something bad about it, will sell it to him.

Sorry guys. It is tremendously frustrating trying to get the exact same drive for a circuit board swap - a dead one for a live one , so I thought I would try the forum. I need the exact same firmware and P/N number because someone who had a dead circuit board tried numerous PCB and found that only the exact one worked. Recently I bought one, with the exact same firmware and everything, but the circuit board was about 1/2 the size, so I have to be smart about it and trying to find one that is almost a year old is tough. I hope that is ok.

Thats not what I meant. I got hte 320GB 7200.10 drive last week, not the specific piece of hardware you are looking for.
