That seems like a great price (less than 25 cents per GB for 1/2 TB HDD). What kind of warranty does it have? Fry's doesn't mention it. Also, I assume it's OEM.

Looks like it's a Maxtor...

From googling around, I was able to find this:

http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=408969

This is a link to a previous deal on this hard drive...if you follow the link posted there, it takes you to the current deal...they mention it is a 5 year warranty, and that they are not sure if it is OEM or Retail...I wouldn't think the warranty would change...

*EDIT*

Oops, you are right, Maxtor...in the rush of posting it, I switched the drive name for some reason...can I fix this or do I need to wait for a mod?

The page's title is FRYS.com | MAXTOR

And the model number starts with MXT.

Great price! I'm glad to see the prices on these continuing to drop! Now if the terrabyte HD's would hit the shelves...

Aww this sucks. No free shipping :(

ZZF has the WD5000AAKS for $130 including free shipping, much better drive IMO.

Good find. (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=101259) It'd be cheaper for some since Fry's charges taxes in several states, including mine (TX).

Woohoo! At that rate, that hard drive will be free in about 4 months.
