Cheaper than most online stores with free shipping, and $30 instant savings makes it a decent deal in my book (normally $159). I got one for my PVR, so I thought I'd share. Available for pickup at some locations.

Nice deal. My work is an APC distributor. Is this a good UPS though?

These are GREAT for your expensive HDTV's and Stereo equipment. These do not need software to work.

Those really expensive A/V power line conditioners you see at Best Buy? This is the same thing, but better.

I have this on my Home Theatre system and would'nt be caught dead without it.

Grab one, $129 is an excellent price.

780 Watts is about what you would need for a huge tv, xbox 360, dvd player and stereo reciever, oh and a 200watt lamp on a tripod for living-room romps video tapping the GF. I left wife out, if you married, your prolly past the part where you would want to video tape the wife.

So a $10 surge protector on a $2300 TV's a bad idea? :(

If it only eats up around 300ish watts, probably something smaller would be more in line I think.

Just pointing out that the Equipment Protection Policy page is the only place on APC's site that BX models are listed.

I found that my projection tv went through a bulb after our power cut out a few times.

Figured that a $40 (on sale) ups is a good investment for a $3000 (at the time) tv.
No problems since.

That's not a bad deal, but nowhere close to the $50 (AR) deal for a 1500 VA APC UPS that Office Depot sold in Feb. 2007.
