Stupid newbie question: Is this backwards compatible to DDR PC3200 or is it a different type altogether?

Everyone asks this question....so it's not a newbie question...well this memory is DDR2 and PC3200 is DDR and they both are different sizes so I don't think it will work as PC3200 memory.

I just looked at the FAQ and discovered that they have different amounts of pins (184 for DDR and 200 for DDR2).
I guess I'll just buy 2 and save them for my future upgrade.
At least the notebook RAM will work in my laptop.

If you're not going to use it immediately, don't bother buying it.
The RAM isn't 800 spec and prices are dropping like crazy for all modules.
Just wait until you decide to do a build.
