Microcenter has this HD for $260, then a $60 MIR = $200...but you can go to lets say BestBuy for example and have them PM it to the $200, since it is a Microcenter MIR.

You can pricematch MIR's? Are you sure?

I guess I should have put YMMV in the subject line...too late now [H] doesn't let you change the thread titles for some reason...

I think you can change it upto 20minutes after posting.
I don't think BB does MIR matching either, unless the person is careless enough to miss the MIR part.

Well either way $200 is a pretty slick deal. Would one of these be faster than two 400GB drives in RAID 0? At this price, the cost would be about equal.
For those who don't like rebates, Frys (http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4924331;jsessionid=6GE3NOBEg2o0+Lq7BtcOGA**.node3?site=sr:SE ARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG).com has it for $220.

BB wont pricematch the MIR, thewy will PM the pre-rebate price.....
I just bought two of these from work(BB) and it was $205 each at employee.....Not bad. I am upto 2.8TB total HDD space. Only 2.6TB in my case now.
