$100 rebate is high, but I've heard good things about the rebate process with Crucial. Free 3-day Shipping as well.

EDIT: Forgot to include 2 x 1GB in thread title, sorry :)

Anyone want to buy my 2GB Ballistix DDR2-800 coming from buy.com?

This is ridiculous. We will talk about this time as the Golden Age of RAM buying. It will be looked upon with like the .com boom!!!!

Crap, this is awful. Every time I think I get a good deal on ram, something else pops up. First I get 2 x 1GB of A-Data DDR2-800 for $130... then I get the Firestix for $126... then 2 GB of Corsair DDR2-675 for $90... now this. I guess I'll get this set and sell my Corsair ram :D

Thanks to rvr2k3 for that coupon code. I wouldn't have jumped on these without it.

I am officially done with my rig. This is getting bad, I've gotta stop changing my mind! :)

Yeah, that coupon put me over the edge. I have 4 GB with nowhere to put them!

which RAM is "better"? The Ballistix Tracer that was a hot deal yesterday, or this stuff? They both seem to be really high level RAM....

I think the Tracers just have the flashy LEDs on them, but I could be wrong.

If you're talking about the 8500, the Tracer and non-Tracer are the best RAM you'll ever come across. That stuff does 1200MHZ CL5 with on 2.25vdimm.

That's ridiculous stuff, I think I've heard about people getting those kind of speeds. I'm betting the DDR2-1000 Ballistix can still hold their own and push 1100 Mhz at least.

Looks like that deal didn't last long. I guess when word gets out that you can get 2 GB of some of the best DDR2 ram out there for $85 AR, it should probably sell out quick.

BTW, for anyone who has ordered, Crucial's rebate system seems to be pretty good. I've been told that they e-mail you once they receive the rebate and then provide you with a link to keep a check on the status of the rebate, as well as an ETA for when they ship out your check. Seems to be a lot better than most systems where you have no idea what the progress is with your rebate and don't know if everything is OK until you receive a check.
