NAS enclosure for $60, I think it's a great deal for space for 2 drives and raid. Hope it's a great deal for everyone else.

Yea, no kidding :( I have a NV+ -- it's SLOOOOW. Isn't the SC101 a SAN, not a NAS?

Nope. This (http://www.infortrend.com/main/2_product/f16f-r(s)2021.asp) and a bunch of hosts with FC adapters and the right filesystem is a SAN.

this thing is such a peice of crap... i bought one with google checkout for 80, used it a few times, realized how much it sucks, now it just sits around in my closet.

if anyone wants to buy this, i will sell you MINE for 40$
but i really dont recommend this thing to anyone.

I bought one.... could not get it up and running with the two hard drives I cared to try... Now people think I have a toaster in my computer room since it is just lying on the shelf... I reply "yes, for my tarts" (since the cooling ribs look like they would barely allow pop-tart in) :)

I will sell it to you for $10 less than this sale. Never used!

Ok, well the SC101 is then classified as a turd. :D

before buying this I looked at all the reviews and realized that if i want to use this i would have to get the hard drives which have been proven to work for netgear. since i didn't have any empty hard drives, i wasn't annoyed at getting WD hard drives. This thing worked fine after installing the bundles software. Now i got 500gb of HD space shared on the network, not bad at all.
