Damn, I only just went up to 4GBs now you're tempting me to move up to 8GBs.

why?
Sculpting programs like Mudbox, Silo 2 and ZBrush deal in the millions of polygons and will use as much RAM as you have. Right now, their performance in Vista 64 is abysmal though so I probably won't jump to 8 GBs until those issues get sorted out.

Not really, depends on what you're doing. With the audio work that I do, I usually am running on at least 6GBs, which isn't always enough, depending on how many tracks and how many plugins per track I am using.

you wont say that in a year. :p
good deal, kind of wished it was faster, but for 2x 2GB, it's pretty good.
Only PC4200?Only $149AR! :p
On Intel chipsets (excluding the P965), dual channel DDR2-4200 is a perfect match for a 1066MHz FSB: 8.5GB/s for each. Unless you're doing a heavy I/O server workload (many hard drives, multi gigabit ethernet adapters and very heavy CPU utililization), 667MHz or 800MHz memory will give you little real-world performance improvements. It's only a couple % difference: http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=2863
