I bought this at Walmart and so far I am very impress. I still need to do more testing but I think its a great deal. Its a 1080P LCD monitor for 1398. Some Walmarts have them in stock and its free to ship at the store. Heres the link

I will connect a PC to it tonight if I can find a DVI to VGA converter.

Can you also check to see if it has any problems with mura or cloudiness on a pure black display. A good example is here (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1188/548334967_db7eb31f10_o_d.gif).

I saw it at Circuit City today, I'd steer clear.

I saw it at Circuit City today, I'd steer clear.Any idea on what sort of hookup and source feed it was using? I ask because the circuit city near my home has been known to use svideo, rca, component and hdmi, no consistency whatsoever. To their credit lately they've been using more component and hdmi though..
Here's one user-review of the 46" polaroid: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=852137

Somethig you should know about circuit city or any major sales company, they intentionally bring down the brightness and screw with the colors on cheap LCD in order to sell the higher brand names. I can tell you this much, I was watching Star Wars 2 in 1080i upconverted via an HDMI DVD player and in the close up scenes of Yoda, I felt I could grab him! This tv has a great picture. I will mess around the PC side of it soon. So far very happy with it.
To answer your question about cloudiness effect, I have some around the edges but not very noticible. When you are watching a movie you dont even notice it at all, I only notice it when I have complete black to it. Now to get this to work with the computer, only lacking part right now are the speakers. They need more umph to them but thats what the surround system is for. They are fine for TV watching.

Some of these LCDs won't do 1920x1080 through the VGA port. You might need a DVI to HDMI cable for the top res. (At least the Vizio 47" works that way.)

DVI to HDMI would be superior in that it stays digital anyway. Definitely preferred over a VGA converted signal.

Wow 2yr Service Plan for this is only $78.88. That gives you 3 years total of coverage. Not bad...

I work at the photo lab in walmart so I stare at this set all day long and it makes me want it more and more. Its a great tv for the price and its the only 1080p set that our store carries.
