Rich people buy the Apple 30" Cinema Display instead of the Dell because the ACD just looks "cool" even though it's got basically the exact same LCD panel in it. :p
I'd buy the Dell is I actually wanted such a monitor. Talk about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, add onto the fact that to get from one side of that huge 30" screen to the other with the cursor you typically have to lift the mouse off the pad at least once regardless of what your acceleration is set at.
There are downsides to having such large monitors, that's just one.

Just buy a big azz mouse pad and overclock your mouse pointer speed.:D

Meh, the only thing that makes me hesitant to invest in a large monitor (30" and up) is the fact that you are basically forcing yourself to spend money on hardware upgrades much more frequently just to be able to run games at the native resolution with a decent frame rate. I've got a 22" wide screen now, and some day soon I'd love to upgrade to something 30" or up, simply because gaming and video playback will look incredible on a large, high quality monitor so long as you have the hardware to make it happen.

That is why I went with a LCD TV. 32" Games look amazing and I am able to turn on most eye candy because the res is 1360 x 768

I really hate to derail and maybe I should possibly post elsewhere about this, but I'll give it a try anyway!

$1269 + $49s&h + $8 insurance with 100% feedback and you avoid tax!
3 year warranty - ?
included $99 complete care coverage - ?
Do you guys know if that's a better deal and if the warranty is actually transferable that way to a new owner if you buy it off of ebay?

If it's new the warranty is yours.

Not much of a downside for users like me who use Trackman of similar pointer device :). You should try it if you indeed are suffering from Carpal, it will be a thing of the past with Trackman.

I don't get it, am I missing something?
You can buy it for the same price direct from Dell using the link from the OP. I'm pretty sure they will ship free as well.

It's about $105 worth of tax difference. The Ebay one also comes with Complete Care warranty which is another $99.

$50 difference once you add in shipping from Ebay. Plus its from Ebay and not directly from Dell so you could potentially end up with warranty problems, ditto w/ care package.
There are also some % off coupons you could use from Dell directly. I think if you sign up for their newsletter they send you a 10% off from Electronics / Accessories.

I have the 3007WFP and a Razer Copperhead, and I only move my mouse about 2" to cover the whole screen.

I know what you mean... even with my current rig (specs in sig) I think Crysis is going to rape it @ 2560x1600.
