:D I just bought one. SLA9V. Who knows how long this will last. I had to ask the sales guy twice if the price was for real. He said there was a screwup with a proc/mb combo and the store manager said to sell them at cost. I think they didn't have the mb's to go with them. When i find a scanner i'll post my receipt.

Good luck

Fry's isn't in Portland, its 40 minutes South of Portland in a town called Wilsonville.
Now if Portland was, say, 20 minutes closer to Wilsonville, then I'd defitely go and check this out.:(

Can't wait for that scan of your receipt though!

:D

40 minutes my foot. Wilsonville is exit 283. Portland starts at what, 295?
only way it takes 40 minutes is during the 5pm rush hour.

Oh yeah! I was just going down to OHSU today from Vancouver at about 3:00 and it took us at least 35-45 mins. Imagine that but multiplied a few more times and thats my dad trying to get to Fry's.
(I cant drive yet, and he's only willing to drive down that way after work.)

:(:(:(

Take your time on that receipt scan btw.;)

Purchased a combo with ECS MATX G33 Mobo and that was the price of the CPU in that combo. May have been a huge YMMV as the person may have typed in the sku for the combo sku, minus motherboard.
If not, I agree this would be a hot deal.

How much for just the board?

Was 218$ for the combo. So if my AM math is working that was 69$ for the mobo. So on the receipt for mine it listed 6750:149$, ECS Motherboard:69$. Still a good deal and worked great in my Sugo SG03. Not a big fan of ECS motherboards personally but best bang for the buck in that price range.
I did get a chuckle with marketing on the back of the mobo box pointing out "Low profile heatsink for the SouthBridge." This low profile heatsink was actually a single flat piece of aluminum with no fins. So in reality I would have the same cooling capabilities if I placed a quarter on there:)

I live 15 minutes from the Wilsonville Fry's... Just down wilsonville road, nice, scenic drive.

Considering how 6750's have been OCing, this is BLAZING!

Another comment about a Fry's needed, this time in Wisconsin, preferably Madison! :(

Very nice. I bought mine from Fry's a month or two ago for $209 (I was impatient).

Though I'm surprised there is no mention of this deal at http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com . So it may not be at all of the stores.

Considering that it is my wallet taking the hit, the interesting thing to me is that each of these items is less than newegg... the exact same items in a cart at egg comes up $74 more. might have to go to Fry's more often..

I forgot to ask. Did you find them on the shelf or on like a clearance table type thing?
Also, how many were there when you got one?

I just called my nearest Fry’s in Downer’s Grove, IL. They are out of stock regardless, but have it listed for $209.99. The only combo was with an Asus P5K for like $390! I guess you lucked-out!

I wasn't really planning on buying one, I just asked a young skinny sales rep "how much for an e6750?" "$150" "what?!" "yeah, $150, there was a screwup with a combo deal and the store mgr said let them go at cost. I almost bought one myself."

another, older, sales rep rang it up for me. Just a standard purchase, unadvertised deal. Regular box unopened, brand new. I have no idea how many there were.

They don't have them off the shelf; the salesman prints a piece of paper which you give to the checkout guy, who pulls the inventory from a supply behind the counter. They do that for some small high-dollar items like procs and RAM. I surmise that they do it that way lessen the number of five-finger discounts.
