Anyway, are there any adapotors for Alpine head units to control this? Right now I have a 3g iPod that is on its last leg. Since it is just in my glove box this will be perfect, unless of course there arent any adaptors.

I'm not very knowledgable about topics in Car Audio, but I want to be able to just plugin the... headphone jack in my car. Does anyone know any good forums/resources of where I can get a bit of help on this?

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP232 (http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=113MP232) and I got rid of my CD changer. It has the circular adapter still in the trunk, but from what I understand it connects directly to the back of the stereo unit in the front of the car. So I found this adapter (http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=234650&i=113CAC2AX&tp=1184) and was wondering if that would do the trick. Then I could just change the SRC on the stereo to the Changer and it would be getting input from the Zune. At least that's what I would like.

my black one didnt look refurbished at all... just had refurbished written on the box cover, and a removable thin sticker on the back with refurbished written on it...

works great... if I knew I could get the brown one for $20 less, I would have over the black.

I got a black refurb from woot and it looks brand new. I would suggest getting a screen protector so you dont get any scratches. The rest of the case is like a matt finish, so I dont have any issues with fingerprints, just on the screen if I accidentally touch it.

It doesnt read PDFs off the bat, but Ive seen some where you can read txt documents. I didnt really look too deeply into it, but you can check out www.zuneboards.com

the finish is a fine matte, almost rubberized feel... is not reflective, except for the screen and does not feel slippery or plasticky... and it is deff NOT a shiny fingerprint and scratch magnet that the iPods are... you know they designed em that way so they look trashed sooner than they are and you want to replace them faster... right?

Yesterday, as our warehouse wrapped up the Zune shipments, an
unexpected shortage of brown zunes was reported. A rather large shortage in
fact. It turns out we ran the brown zune blowout so quickly, some 1400 from
previous shipments had not been removed from the inventory numbers.
Not good.

We made the emergency call to substitute BLACK zunes to complete your
shipment.

While many did not care about color, and some may perceive the black
color to be a higher value (correct at least from Woot's financial
perspective), the dilemma was of course it wasn't what you ordered.
Unfortunately, we also had little time to act as we were at the fringe of
shipment expectations already. The story does get better, however; we were
able to persuade our marketing minds that this was a good opportunity for
their budget to expand:

It just takes a little persistence. I notice the ones with the high starting price sometimes will not get any bids. I saw several that today that did not sell for about $100 delivered because it is sometimes tough to get the first bid in. Alot of others that start low will sell for well over $100 as people get bid lust in the last hour. I always start at a penny so I get lots of people watching and then they bid the price up in the last couple of hours.

one of mine is currently going for 10, one for 50, and the third I just put up for .01.

If you go to the advanced search, you can search for the completed listings only. For a popular item like the Zune, you will then know about what it will take to win. Just don't get bid lust and spend more than the item is worth.

I read somewhere that if the Zune has a really dead battery that it may need to be plugged in for a half hour before it will turn on for the first time.

I also had 1 instance with mine where it had been sitting for a few days, even though the battery was full, and would not turn on. I plugged it into an ac charger, and it fired right up, showing the full battery and worked fine ever since. Got me.

Hopefully the new firmware will fix these little glitches without adding too many new ones.

Yeah, my bet is once the firmware update hits prices are gonna come back up. Thing with these is that they can't sell em as Zune 2's unless they take em in, repackage them and reflash them. Which is why they were discounted. I bet pretty soon y'all will be happy you paid whatever you did when the price jumps back up.
