I don't see a 500 GB one at $80, but there is a 400 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA for $80 and $6 shipping. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136004R) That works out to $.22/gb though. I don't know why these were returned either (maybe too many bad sectors for someone's taste) so YMMV.
