Been looking for an 8600GT for quite some time, and 8600GT for $79.99 is quite inexpensive compared to what I can usually get around that price.[/center]

Wow.

Had this been available when I built my new machine last week, I might have gone for it over the 3850.

How does this card compare to a 7900GT?

How does this card compare to a 7900GT?

my Win XP, Opty 165 at 2.7Ghz with 2x512Mb of memory and a 7900GT voltmodded and overclocked to the gills at 700 core 1800 memory and 110Mhz PCI-e bus speed got 11735 in 3DMark 05

my Vista Ultimate 64bit, 4200+ X2 running 2.53Ghz with 2x1Gb memory and the F3 model (the 540Mhz model here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150230)) ran a 9501 today with it overclocked a bit to 600/1600, still has more headroom for overclocking, will run the same speed as that XXX model, maybe more....

considering..for a non-uber-FPS gamer like me who only plays uplink or defcon from time to time, it's more than plenty and great for the money (i got mine shipped for $80 off ebay)

Darn, too bad you can't use this rebate more than once per household. I'd get two for that price.

Have a friend/family/relative take care of the other one for you, but it might get a bit complicated...
