I ordered one of these at newegg earlier today for $135 with their special offer. I cancelled that just now and ordered it from ZZF for a shipped price of $112.10

This is the cheapest I could find this product anywhere.

Good price for it. I paid $130 for it from Fry's a few months back. Oh and this router is totally worth that $130. It's an excellent router. My old Netgear router had to be rebooted every few days or otherwise I wouldn't get a connection. The Dlink router has been up, according to the Dlink status page, for 71 days without a single restart or shutdown. :)

I scored one at Buy.com with a 5% off coupon and $10 GCO for $107 w/free shipping. which was next day for me since the origin was like a hundred miles away. ..about 6 or 7 weeks ago.
I really like this router...easy setup and great performance so far.
It's EXTREMELY tweakable for gamers and others. Even has a usb port on it.

Can you hook up an external HD for NAS?

I have this router and it is pretty solid. One thing to note though - this router will not function as a network bridge. If you are looking for something that will let you extend an existing wired LAN to wireless devices, this may not be the router for you unless you are willing to use this router as a DHCP server.

no, the usb port is for the vista wifi setup thing, can't remember what it's called

I have this router and love it. Bought it last year at 120 from circuit city. It works flawless! I thought you could hook up a usb drive to it. I never tried though.

For those who want to know how well this router does over lan for file transfer

I think It could go faster but my 150GB Raptor could transfer to my 320's any faster I think.

But really good router. In fact I have two. :D

Is that a computer to computer transfer speed throught the router; I've never been able to get that speed with Vista x64; MS supposedly corrected this w/ updates, but I haven't seen much improvement; Did you do anything to get that transfer speed?

bump for me too

I tried it the other day and it didn't work... I think the USB port is more for Internet connection than for sharing. (I'm not definite on it though!)

Pretty much useless.

At the rear of the DIR-655, along with a WAN port for the internet input via an Ethernet cable, and 4 Gigabit ports is a USB slot. This is solely used for the “Windows Connect Now” set-up technology, a great loss and a missed opportunity too. In our opinion adding and using a flash drive or USB external hard drive would have been a better use of the USB slot.

Where were you with this post when I bought mine? lol.:D
Just kidding, thanks for the post, now I can tell my friends about this and see if it persuades them to finally get one.
