While Corsair always goes with a reputable manufacturer, the VX series is not made by Seasonic. Channel Well Tech. makes good stuff, but I think I'd rather spend extra for the 520HX.

Then again, at this price, it's not a bad investment.

Correction: The VX550 is made by CWT, the VX450 is made by Seasonic.

Seriously, me too. I was hoping it was that one. It was really Hot when it went down to 70-something w/o rebate about a month ago, still waiting on that one. Does anyone go for the actual Seasonics here? vs. the Corsairs? I couldn't find any Seasonics with modular cabling. I'm thinking of settling for two smaller wattage Seasonics instead of 2 of HX520s... :/

-1 on the title.

Back when I ordered my HX520 from Buy.com, I got it the next day (a Saturday, in fact) with the Free Shipping option.

It depends heavily on the type of product you're buying from them and how close you live to one of their warehouses. Computer hardware ships out the fastest, other electronics and console/handheld games might ship out within a few days. The one time I bought sports equipment from them, it shipped out after a week...

Yeah, I get orders from jab-tech in one to two days, because they're in OK, and I'm in Texas, whereas SVC takes a long ass time because they're out in Bumfuct Egypt.

Where is ya'lls sense of adventure at? I say we get rid of subject titles all together! Clicking on this thread was like Christmas all over for me. :)

Moving on. It doesn't seem like people like buy.com too much. I never bought from them, mostly because of the negativity I hear around here about them. Yeah, 1 to 2 weeks for shipping would pretty much kill any deal from them if that is accurate.

I like Corsair for RAM, but not sure about their PSU.

You're one of very few people not sure of them and I don't see why you would be. They've proven to be excellent PSUs by many people.

While I've had a couple of pisser bad deals with Buy.com, the recent ones have gone MUCH better including the 520 watt Corsair psu which was delivered in a day, maybe two after order. It was impressively fast and free shipping to boot. The rebate on it came quickly as well.
I'll continue to let Buy.com have my business if they can perform like they have recently.

I have to disagree with you. I think this is VERY hot! A Corsair 550W PSU for $58 AR Shipped w/ Google Checkout. I get things the next day from Buy.com, since they have a warehouse in PA, and I'm right next door in MD. All with the free standard shipping option.

Also, the VX550 is a great PSU. It is highly recommended by JonnyGuru. http://www.jonnyguru.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1460 This PSU is slightly better then the 520HX performance wise. The modular design in the 520HX creates a tad bit of resistance. Don't get me wrong though, the 520HX is still a kick ass PSU.

I bought this PSU from buy.com on 12/24 for this price + 5% off. Arrived on the 27th. No complaint here. I wouldn't call this a hot deal since it was 5% less only a few days ago.

I stand corrected. When I said "not sure about their PSUs", I meant I was not familiar w/ Corsair PSUs, but am familiar w/ their RAM (which is good).
