pretty good price--if only the led backlit screen was included. I might pick me up a refurb 1330 when my student loans come in. I'm tired of lugging around this heavy 15 incher with a brick for a power supply.

You should have no problem playing source on that comp. I've got a 1210 with the 7400 card and it tears it up.

I've had both the 1210 and 1330 (have the 1330 now). Source ran much better on the m1210. the m1210 has 256 memory. the m1330 struggles at 720x480. freaking struggles! I haven't tweaked it, but don't expect to keep up with other people with 256mb cards. I am at a loss for words at the disappointment I have for the graphics situation on the m1330.

Also, I liked the power pack for the 1210 better, too. The new one has the ground on the plug, which limits which outlets you can put it into. also, it comes with a velcro strap, instead of the rubber strap attached to the plug the old one had.

You sure you have the latest nvidia drivers? I've heard the 1330 can handle source pretty easily, considering it has pretty low requirements to begin with.

I have the latest drivers from dell's website; if you try to install the drivers from nvidia's website, it says vista isn't 32 bit. So, you may be right, it may be a slow driver issue from dell. (which happen to be 156.55, not 169 they're on now @ nvidia, I believe)

further edit: just followed this:

it installed. off to CS:S. Thanks, I was going to be productive today.

edit #3: Yeah, 1280x800 runs @ >80fps on the video stress test on CS:S. Great Success!
