they are not worth $40 IMO..I have them with the free zune travel kit I goot off Woot. I almos tlikethe regular buds better, they do have mroe noise cancelation but I dunno not much difference to me. I guess for $10 its not too bad if you need a replacement set or something.

I have to agree...I got a set with my zune woot travel kit as well.
The stock OEM zune cheapo earbuds sound better.
They both are actually worse sounding than my $10 walmart phillips brand earbuds.
I just want to assure people these are not good quality - maybe a good price yes, but not a good deal.

These phones suck compared to the $10 deal on the Skullcandy Ink'd Buds at FYE. If you can get those then do it no questions asked. I compared the standard ones, Premium Zune, and Skullcandys and there really was no comparison.

if you guys don't mind clip-ons, get the Koss KSC75.

^^What he said. Or spend about $34 and get the Sennheiser PX-100's from amazon. You won't find a better sound for the price guaranteed.
Koss KCS75 are very highly regarded over at Head-Fi.com which is a forum for headphone enthusiasts. Even the high end audiophile snobs like them.

Eww bad IEMs. Mine are still in the box of the Zune I bought. Zune is great, but the premium buds are just :(
If you're looking for some great mid-ranged IEMs, go for the C700s... http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AH-C700K-Reference-Audio-Headphones/dp/B000MVGBNW/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1202439340&sr=8-1
I picked them up for only $100 shipped, and so have a lot of other people around head-fi. Amazon likes to drop the price randomly. They're worth every penny, better than the stuff ultimate ears has to offer IMO.
I also own the KSC75, and they're bomb for the gym. Mucho bass and very warm sounding. Love em. Those or a Sennheiser PX-100 will do good for those who enjoy their music but are on a budget :D

I <3 my PX100's. I'm beginning to use them for gaming too.
I've actually got both the KSC75 and the PX100's, but I find the PX100's more comfortable for longer periods.

all of you hate them?
i fucking love mine
great sound and bass... very good seal against noise... tons better than standard 'hard' earbuds that come with any mp3 player
to each his own i guess

I got mine in the zune travel pack from woot. I think I remember that I liked them, but they broke in less than a week (there was no abuse/mishandling) so I would not buy them again :/
Right now a have the JVC marshmallows. They are not as comfy as these but as a non-audiophile I think they sound pretty good and are more isolating than these zune premium headphones.

have you tried the Koss "Plugs"? they're only $10 at amazon and supposedly they're good too. never tried them myself.
I love my KSC75s though. I'm on my third pair. I just use them so much and take them around everywhere, they break often. but for the price, it still cannot be beat.

Yeah, but 99 cent free included earphones aren't what we are comparing them to. There is a whole new world of quality if you test a few pairs.
Check out www.goodcans.com or www.headfi.org
Those MS Zune premium headphones might sound better than rubbish, but that's what they are compared to even a cheapy $20 dollar set of earphones. Those Koss mentioned above are said to beat anything under $50 bucks. Try those in comparison.
I had 2 pairs of these.
Both of them made crackling noises and static unplugged, which is weird.
Mediocre sound, kinda annoying comfort.
Just save your bucks and get Koss KSC75s, love mine.
