I think it's online only. My roommate works at Costco and he said sometimes B&M stores have the same merchandise as the website but usually there isn't alot of overlap on niche items like this one.

Also, if your not a member you may have to pay a percentage on top of that price. I'll double check to make sure I'm right on that.

My local costcos did not have them in stock. I bought one a couple of weeks ago and love it.

two of these turned vertically would complement my 37" westy nicely I think.

but they would cost more than it :X

I got one of those on my wishlist at Newegg, I think there its like $580 shipped. Wish I had the money to get one, this 22" I have now is just tiny!

hmm yes but the view sonic isn't as visually appealing to me as the hanns g imo;)

I could never find out what kind of panel the Hanns-G uses though. I checked it out at worst buy and it looked great, no horrible color shifting that I could see even from way to the side, unlike my 22" Acer (TN), but nobody else reports the same.

What kind of panel is the Hanns-G, and the Viewsonic? P-MVA? I really want to replace my old HP S-IPS monitor, and I like the larger text size of the 1900x1200 28" screens (as opposed to the 30" ones)

Newegg's return policy on monitors is your S.O.L. :rolleyes:

Best Buy runs this about every other week for $550 - I got one last week at that price. (this is for people who are not Costco members)

does the hanns G have DVi?

Input Connection:

* HDMI (with HDCP)
* VGA 15-pin mini D-Sub
* DVI and component via cable (cables included)
* Audio Input
* Earphone Jack

I imagine that means in comes with a DVI->HDMI adapter.

Correct it has HDMI and a cable to convert DVI to HDMI. I have this monitor and love it. Is it perfect... no. But at the time it was under 1/2 the price of a 30 inch and damn near as big... a great compromise for a big arse monitor.

Priceless: My GF playing Oblivion on the 28inch and jumping out of her seat cuz a rat came up and surpised her. With that much realestate things do tend to draw you into the game!

goto www.monoprice.com and pick up a $30 HDMI switcher, generally they have them for under $30 for a two port HDMI switcher if you don't wanna swap cables.

Sad thing is he had a month to look over the thread and answer that question for himself. The person clearly stated two posts afterwards that he missed the part where it said the monitor was a refurb.

And yea Im giving this thread another bump.:o

Just as an FYI, when we got these in at the Best Buy I work about 2 minutes a week at, we all thought they were great.

Highest Dead pixel problem I've ever seen with a monitor, not to mention serious backlight bleed. Enough to make me cringe.

Just a heads up.

fyi to get hdtv on this thing you will need a computer and one of these http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1283562

You could always hook up your cable box through the hdmi tho...

The first one I bought at Best Buy and it had a couple of stuck pixels (one that wouldn't stay gone) and some pretty bad backlight bleed. The second one I bought at Costco. It has no dead pixels and the backlight bleed is almost non existant. Glad I took that first one back. These are great monitors but make sure you check them out good before the return policy stops. I wouldn't buy one from Newegg for that very reason.

Costco beats everyone hands down on returns.
