It's a good price :)

But it states online only too.

If people only need 1 SATA or 2 PATA drives it's a great price, I need 4-8 though :o and want to have matching drives...

Most people don't realize, but the 7200.10 are the older generation now. The new 7200.11s are hot with 32mb cache

Anyone know if the 32MB cache yields performance gains worthy of the extra $$ yet? I'd be interested to see.

I've been in the market for one. Was going to go with the green power WD, but this is a really nice deal for a storage drive. Might head out during lunch.

This deal is still going on:

I just got a 750gb 7200rpm 32mb cache SATA Samsung from newegg for $159 w free delivery.

The Samsung price dropped:
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152100

$150 now

How do these compare with the Seagate?

Seagate has 5-year Warranty and 16mb Cache
Samsung has 3-year Warranty, 32mb Cache

I just grabbed the Samsung, seems like a really good deal compared to what else is out there. Even that 500GB hard drive at best buy for like $87 on clearance comes out to about the same cost/GB after you factor sales tax in, and with the Samsung you're getting the 32MB cache.

I guess the real question is if the Seagate 32MB drive is worth $20 extra over the samsung.

Just checked the SATA link and it doesn't list a limit on how many ordered - now.

Just wish I didn't have to pay down some CC's. :(

Wow I saw the title and thought "That's definitely not hot" haha. Picked up an external one at Fry's for $110 a month ago. $109 isn't too bad though...

Good deal, too bad on the 1 per household online; I'd get four for a nice RAID 5.

Yep. I hadn't noticed the dates either. I'm thinking to myself, "How is $150 for 750GB a good deal? That should be under $110??"

Now it all makes sense.

Wish I had the cash..
