I dunno if this is Air Force wide or not.
but.
the BX on Elmendorf has the 24" Westinghouse for $399. HDMI and Component. all that was displayed on it was a blue screen, but it did not seem to have any vertical color shift. so I'm pretty sure its an S-PVA. I did the same thing with my 22 (pure blue screen) and it had plenty of color shift. so, check it out if you have access to a BX.

Perhaps you mean PX?

They price match pretty much anything so even if it's not, get them to call Elmendorf and they'll match it.

if it's not just a local special, which isn't all that common, it should be available AAFES wide, correct? Don't think I'm eligible any more, so I didn't try to register to see if it is on their site.

So we have to join the air force to buy the monitor?
I knew the recruiters were desparate, but this is pretty extreme!

Rock on! I'll have to check out the BX tonight. This is even more impressive since everything here in AK tends to have about a 10-20% markup for shipping.

Or you could just get it at BB:

Yeah BX=Base Exchange and PX=Post Exchange, all depends on the branch. That was off topic, anyway... But you are talking about getting onto a base, paying less for it, and then scrap the taxes because it is on base. And most PX/BX facilities are pretty good about checking IDs for military or dependent status for eligibility. My PX never really had great deals, or great selection for that matter, but once you start just paying for things just as the sign says and not having to count in taxes, things get a little more tempting, sometimes, not all the time though.

Best Buy has it for $359. Wheres the deal? With a 12% BB coupon, thats a pretty hot deal. $400 doesn't seem like it would be (unless your base is a zillion miles from the nearest Best Buy, I guess...)

I'm in Germany so that would include me. Media Markt is expensive as hell due to the uselessness of the dollar
