Cooler Master 690 $35 shipped w/ no rebates

Well I see a lot of people looking for a good cheap case and you really can't beat that price.

I know that you can (sometimes) get awesome rebates on this case, but some people don't like dealing with rebates and they are not always available.

I spent DAYS looking for a deal on this case after seeing some people get it for as low as $20.

UPDATE: This afternoon I received an e-mail from CM stating that while my order went through for $34.47, my shipping method and payment did not. I'll have to call tomorrow and pay the shipping. Checkout process is kinda weird, they have you pay through Pay Pal. I have updated the thread title to reflect this new info.

WTF, so I'm kind of logged in now... I can click chassis and it'll ask me in, but then if I click on something else and go back it'll let me see them. This site is scary :(

The stacker 810 shows for $55.99, but the description has the Real Power Pro RS-850-EMBA included. I don't know if they mean the power supply is included as well? I wouldn't think so for that price, but it might be worth a shot.

2 weeks ago I picked up a CM 690 at Microcenter B&M near Chicago. I was not paying attention when they rang me up, so I went home with the $135 one with the 550 watt PS included.:o

They had piles of the CM 690 in several different locations around the store.

I took it back a week later, and they cheerfully fixed my mistake, but they had exactly 2 left in the store.:)

I also took the $40 - $30MIR 500 watt Coolermaster PS. So, if my rebates ever come in, I will have a CM 690 Case with CM 500 watt PS for 30 bux total. All for $100 up front.

While I am not a big fan of rebates, I think this should eventually work out for me.:cool:

I know those who ordered a case from this site originally did NOT see "reburbished" anywhere in the description. Clearly this is a little bait and switch, I'm going to try and either get a new case or cancel my order. Not very COOL cooler master.

I don't know about you, but I would certainly spend an extra $25 for peace of mind. Now with that being said the case could be just fine, 100% new looking and function like brand new. Refurbished could mean any number of things, but what really gets me is these things WERE not listed as refurbished.

Cooler Master use to sell their refurbs on Ebay years ago, not certain if they do anymore. I bought 2 of the first Stackers when the came out (looks like the 810 but not certain as the one I have left has no Identification number). I paid a couple hundred shipped each. They came sealed in retail box with full accessories. I had contacted them prior to buying and they told me they replaced any missing or damaged parts/accessories. Not certain if this is still how they do things but I was very pleased at the time. Saved over $100 at the time and was just like getting a new product.

The shipping screw up is a pain but I wouldnt be weary of buying refurbs from them. Im jumping on a couple for a few budget buils.

I've had the same experience with Antec's B-stock. They were in perfect condition and I would have never know they were refurbs except for the yellow "BSTOCK" stick on the box.

Thank you for the link DirtyDrummer. I was in the market for a Elite 340 for my new build when I saw this. I was about to get it from Newegg for around $56.00 USD but found it here for about $15.00 USD. I used "Flat Rate (Best Way)" as the shipping method... but now I am regretting not selecting "Ground" as I have no idea what Flat Rate is or how long that will take.

All I ever got was the paypal receipt that came moments after I placed my order.
When I log in and click on "my orders" it says;
"You have not yet made any purchases."

I just sent them an email explaining the situation of only getting a Paypal receipt. I included the PayPal info and I received an email back within minutes saying that my order has been processed and they will be sending a UPS tracking number shortly.

Good luck with that. I emailed them asking questions before I purchased my case and they did not reply. I sent them an email yesterday asking about how long it takes to ship and still have gotten nothing. I just tried to make a forum account on the CM site... but as you might have guessed; nothing. They require admin account activation - God only knows how long that will take. :rolleyes:

Seems the only way we may get some answers are to call them up. Hell they do not even have a cancel order link or anything. If they were not ready to sell things, they should not have made that site public. :mad:

Very nice, I actually received my case today, the cm690. I was surprised because on the webpage it still says processing. So I was very upset the previous few days because of the constant display of the order processing, but now i'm pretty satisfied :D

How was the quality? That more than anything has me worried I might end up getting a huge chunk of metal inside a Cooler Master box labeled "Case." Hope it wasn't too bad.

well the case seems fine to me. It came in the original box. And had foam around it and everything, but one part of the foam was ripped a bit. The fans inside the case were there. Nothing seemed damaged. And it came with a white box that had some parts, like bracket and screws etc. I don't really think it was lacking anything ;o Also had all the wires that come with it, i guess to plug in the led lights and sound ports/usb etc.

Extremely friendly guy by the way, was asking me all sorts of questions about my build and was really interested in it.

Just to update, I got my case today. Im still at work, so cant comment on the quality, but will do so when I get home for lunch.

FYI, it still says its "Processing" on Cooler Masters site, so take that with a grain of salt :P

Received the 4 cases I ordered today. Boxes were a little tattered, but everything looks fine (like new) inside.

Word of advice to Coolermaster.
Fire your webmaster at cmusashop and get your bugs worked out.

Excellent quality, both the case and the packaging. If the links on the page did not say "(Refurbished)" I would not know any better.

I'm having a problem during checkout. I go to the shopping cart, and proceed to the shipping options page, but when I click continue on that page, it loops back to the shopping cart. Theres no progression in the process, just keeps looping from the shopping cart to the shipping options.

Edit: I've tried with both Firefox and IE and it does the same thing. Not a browser issue.
