Ok, I hope the mods will allow this thread. Its basically a consolidated thread for new Wii owners who are looking for the best deals on getting extra controllers and all the other gimicky accessories that end up making the "cheapest console on the market" one of the most expensive. Cause the wii is meant to be played with alot of people, but not alot of people want to fork out 60$/controller set.

I'm loving the idea for this thread because i just picked up a wii a couple months ago. I don't see how many deals will be found for the WII though given it's status. The Wiimote and Nunchuck are $60 together. Just outrageous. The one thing i can offer up is this: Gamestop will sell Super Smash Bros Brawl for $10 with 2 trade ins. There's an official list on the Gamestop website if i'm not mistaken. I'm trading in Zelda and Metroid (once i beat it) because i'm assuming super smash bros will have much more replay value.

Bah. I'm just looking for a way to get a brand new Wiimote and nunchuck for sub 60$. Also, I'm tempted to trade zelda and metroid for smash bros. Some would say that's stupid but i don't play games more than once. Unless it KOTOR or KOTOR 2 when the restoration project is done. KOTOR deserves it's own thread so people can can talk about it's awesomeness but now I'm getting off the Wii subject so I'll stop.

Alright so i went to gamestop today and bought Smash bros brawl. I went to eBay and it seems used copies of staple games are going for approximately $20.00 (sometimes more) so it's safe to assume that if you're just going to sell the game you may as well trade it in to gamestop. Super Mario Kart is being released and if you buy Supersmash bros brawl it comes with a coupon making any trade worth $5 more towards the purchase of Mario kart. Since i planned on buying Mario kart anyways it seems safe to assume that trading in metroid for $25 is a better deal than having an auction on ebay and paying eBay and paypal fees. Just a heads up.
