Just got finished sitting on the phone for the better part of 45 minutes with the credit card verification people at TigerDirect, telling me over and over that my phone number wasn't on the account. After giving them an old phone number I haven't used in years, and waiting another 5 minutes...they tell me there is no phone number on the account at all, and they will release the order right away.

Looks like if you ordered after 9:08 PST you might not have gotten it. They are going to get back with me on seeing about what they can do. it is also possible I got screwed by google checkout, I was a number off on my cards expiration date but google didn't bounch the email back right away notifying me. Does not look good....They have over 300 backorders and no ETA on getting more (if they do). Well they would not match the cards for me, they once again told me it would cost me about $500 more to go to BFG version, even if I only needed one card they would not do it. At this point I think I jsut want my money back and the 4 hours of my life they ripped me off for.

edit; guy from yesterday called me back, told me they could change my order to 4 GT's for the same price... What a deal, but more of an insult! Told them to cancel my order and I would never order from them again since a) people who ordered after me were able to get their cards, and b) they were not able to even sell me 1 alternate GTS for the same price although they were able to do it for others. BB and Tiger Dirgect are now both shitlisted.

I agree, I've gotten quite a few deals on here, I'm starting to avoid all the ones at bestbuy because I'm always too late and just waste time/gas getting over there... but on internet websites it takes 10 seconds to order... if it's a pricing error, order gets cancelled.. or per-chance it goes through (like this one) then you just scored a good deal.

The other day someone posted some really cheap netgear stuff at office-depot, luckily I have one couple miles away, drove down and grabbed the last 3 off the shelf, $15 for 3 5port switches... walked out to my car and decided to go back in and see if they had any-more in the back, I happened to grab the last 3. Also got a Staples close-by that I'll probably check-out if other people post [H]otdeals regarding... but for Bestbuy/Circuit City/Office-Max or anything else I have to drive 15-20 minutes

Yea but when you order before other people, and your order says backordered, yet they get theirs this is not fair. When others are able to get item swapped to a similar GTS for instance, yet even though you ordered before other people whos items shipped but they are still not willing to do this for you it simply pisses me off... $#$#* TD never using them again.

with my 3rd copy of company of heroes. this one, one with an msi 8600gts and one (opposing fronts) that i won on nvidia sli zone. very suprised on how quick td shipping is. it didnt ship until wed nite at 2200 and got here (nyc) friday at 1500. also suprised on how thin the bundle is (besides the game) only 1 dvi/vga converter, 1 svid cable, one "do not disturb" sign, driver cd. i am not complaining, just expect more in non vanilla card.

As far as I know, the card has to be registered within 30 days to get the lifetime warranty. I guess if you sell it before then, anyone that registers it would be considered the original owner--provided they have a receipt.

Just register it using the S/N on outside of box, send in rebate, sell on ebay as unopened/transferable warranty, send new owner the registration code. XFX will not need a receipt from new owner, so I've been told by XFX rep on the two cards sold this way. You should easily get your money back, search completed listings. The lowest are $205-$225. XFX with warranty should pull the high end of that. The COD4 copy will net you even more $, or keep it as a free bonus.

Absolutely! No need to blackmail. Honestly portray the card for what it is...missing UPC for rebate purpose, unopened, new, transferable warranty. Be specific that they will be required to send it directly to XFX if a problem arises. It is up to you whether feedback is left before or after the buyer leaves it. I usually list items with prices this high using a Buy It Now auction (taking offers is up to you) with paypal only, due immediately.

I was sent two emails in two days last week (17th + 18th). The one on the 17th read "...approximately 7 days and you should receive it shortly thereafter." The one on the 18th read "...expected date of inventory is on or about 3/21 ."

It's coming up on the 25th and I've received no new updates, and my order information still shows "backuordered" on their site. Current games laugh at my 7800GT...I need this thing. :)
