Somewhat, yes. I use Dove bar soap because I have really dry skin, especially after a shower, and it at least prevents flaking and that irritating feeling that your skin's trying to remove itself from your flesh.

But seriously, soap like Irish Springs and such really dry out my skin. Dove's the only bar soap I can use. I also use Old Spice body wash (After Hours). Good stuff as well.
