My only thought is if you already have the game you could use that code.... but since you can't get the disc without buying it which would yield a code anyway. Maybe if you download an illegal copy you can legitimately activate it. That is assuming that it's for activation. All I know is that the email they send says "Happy Gaming!"

Looks like there was a problem with the retail games not going out with CD keys.

Um, so they were naive enough to think that only the legit buyers who did not get a CD KEY would apply?

What about the ones that still don't have the CD KEY? out of luck? Doesn't sound right
