Considering that The lowest priced kingston on www.pricewatch.com is googlgears @ $72 i think you're getting a good deal. The 512meg pc2700 @ $53.99 is an exceptional deal.
Cas 2.5 might make a small barely noticeable speed increase over cas 3 but every percent counts when putting a system together (within reason $$$). There's a chance you might be able to run it @ Cas2 but i wouldn't necessarily count on it.
The big retail stores sometimes have these kingston sticks for a lil cheaper after rebate so it might be worth a look. If you need memory now i say don't hesitate since it is a nice low price.
Thx for posting the deal, i may pick up a stick of pc2700
I got 2 256 sticks for free after rebates on Black Friday from OfficeMax.

Have you tried increasing the voltage to your ram a little to get it to run at cl 2.5 or 2? I got my generic samsung DDR-333 ram in my sig to work at 2-2-2-5@355mhz and work at 2.5-3-3-7@400mhz by increasing the voltage from 2.5 to 2.6.

From what I understand from your post, and my knowledge of the English language, you either a) think the ram may not be compatible to your current ram or b) that cas3 is superior to cas2.5
In either case, don't worry about it; the ram will work and is faster than what you have now. Go for it.
