This is real nice...you rock Metallica Band (pun not intended!)
I was really turned off by the whole Google scanning emails and such. That stuff should be 100% private imho.
Edit: Odd, i keep getting the message "too many people using the system, please try again in a few minutes". There servers are probably getting hammered. Hop on this nice deal quick folks....
Double edit: goddam Workingnonstop.... why didn't you post that a minute earlier :p

All i ask (beg) of you is that you please not post our "better more exclusive deals" on other deal forums. The lurkers can be bad enough at times but having our own members spreading it to other forums would be much worse (>terett's moment< Backstabbing dammit! :p ).
I like the OC cyberdeal forums because you must be logged in to view it. It serves as a nice little deterrant for the casual forum surfer/lurker. Too bad they only post the occasional deal but worth checking nontheless.
BTW i'm loving this new email account, its a definite keeper
Edit: err, looks like OC cyberdeals doesn't need log-in any longer(?)

I emailed them about it...
They're prolly holding it off cause they got popular so quickly...we almost killed their servers so they had to do some upgrades...that's why the site closed once or twice before...they prolly need to order even more upgrades since their current servers aren't enuff...it'll prolly be back later on...their website has spread all over "free stuff" sites and lots of ppl are registering for the ultimate spam account... :p

Boo, that was pretty lame for them to not say anything about them not taking registrations until after you click through. And, it took about 500x times to refresh. Frustrating. I can't complain though. It will be free...when it works.

I don't get it. So the short address, @gmail.com sound cooler to the ads Google FINDS when it scans my e-mails? Google is finding ads in my emails? That doesn't make any sense. Do you mean Google will send me ads based on what it reads in my e-mails? If so, then I'm fine with that. At least I wont be reading dozens of emails advertising breast enlargement. ;)
But really, that doesn't bother me at all. I have nothing to hide. Plus, it's all done through computers which search for special keywords.

Mee too, been using it for a week and now i get the same message. Oh well, hopefully they are just weeding out some bad applicants and the service will be restored to us. If not i won't worry, i really like spymacs offering better anyway, you can access it via outlook/pop3, free 100megs webhosting, free personal blog etc.

I just got an invite to gmail as well, and I have my own email given by school and my domain name, so I think I'm all set for now...
Also, yahoo has 100 MB of mail storage now.
As for Gmail, it scans your email, but it's all computer based; it's not like they have 10 million people reading every single email you get. If you're really paranoid, how about the fact that Gmail has stated that none of your emails will ever get truly deleted?

Gmail reads you're email and then targets ads towards the content of your messages. Also, when you delete a message from Gmail it will most likely remain in Google's mailspace for a long period of time.
