All the Nvidia goodies like dlss2, DLSS3 frame gen, higher raytracing perf, better drivers, Cuda support, etc. Also nvenc is better than the amd one. That's presumably why. Also better power efficiency.

Ehh... 6900/6950 aren't exactly leagues-faster than the 6800 XT.And Honestly with a 6950XT being only 100$ more, I feel AMD needs to bring the 6800XT and 6700XT down in price
Yup. Just looking over at the 6800XT/6900XT oc thread shows that you can easily get a 6800XT within a 6900XT, unless the latter really starts getting fancy with the OC.Ehh... 6900/6950 aren't exactly leagues-faster than the 6800 XT.
even though I hate the progress of performance / price of rtx 4070 compared to last gen, if 4070 is priced at least $100 lower than current MSRP, then I would take it over 6800xt / 3080 new.All the Nvidia goodies like dlss2, DLSS3 frame gen, higher raytracing perf, better drivers, Cuda support, etc. Also nvenc is better than the amd one. Yeah...drop $100 off a 4070 and that'd be fine. MC is kicking in $100 steam gift cards with all rtx 4k cards. Throw in 5% off if you use a card. If I still had my 1080ti, I could see going with the 4070 in that case. I personally think 12gb will still work fine for 12gb in 2 years. If not, I'll eat those words.even though I hate the progress of performance / price of rtx 4070 compared to last gen, if 4070 is priced at least $100 lower than current MSRP, then I would take it over 6800xt / 3080 new.
sadly that's what Nvidia (and presumably AMD too) has became now, too greedy they increase the price point from previous gen with little performance improvement.
Also if we completely ignore goodies, there's still the fact that the 6800 XT has 33% more VRAM which is more than just a goodie and might be a big factor in a year or two.*shrugs*
I seem to recall AMD goodies too. But if a goodie doesn't come from nVidia it apparently isn't a goodie.
