Okay, so I took the sides off and traced out the wire for the HDD LED. It runs to the front of the case right under the power button along with the Power LED. The Power LED cabel connects to a blue LED that is very bright, while the HDD LED connects to a red one right below it (basically...
Could be. The thing is, I don't see anything on the case exterior that looks like the actual LED. I don't see anything in the manual. The power LED seems like it could possibly do other things, maybe it blinks or lights up another color if the HDD LED cable is connected properly?
Quick question related to the FT01B-W. I've got my new i7 system running in it and love it... but does it have an LED on the case for the HDD activity? I've got the HDD LED cable wired into the mobo but don't see anything.
Check out PynkFloydd's posts in this thread I started about my i7 build.
I ended up buying one too, and got the system online yesterday. I haven't tried overclocking yet, but let me know if you have any questions about installation.
I too got the Dell 3007WFP-HC. I haven't put together my system yet (still waiting for parts to arrive), but I do already have a still-sealed "Superclocked" EVGA GTX 260.
I haven't done alot of gaming, only because I've never had a nice system. I'm curious if the better route would be to swap...
Just to update the thread, I finally pulled the trigger on this setup Sunday night:
$0 --- Core i7 920 ------------ Christmas gift from the parents :)
$300 - P6T Deluxe ------------- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131346
$170 - G.SKILL 6GB DDR3 1333 --...
I'm about to pull the trigger on a Core i7/GTX260 build and have been agonizing over cases for a few weeks now. The P182 is indeed on my short list, but I'm also looking at the Lian Li V1010B and the Silverstone FT01B-W.
I think I've just about settled on the FT01B-W, after reading these two...
Does the door hinge on the P182 allow it to open past 180 degrees and sit flush with the side of the case, or does it just hang straight out in line with the front of the case when opened all the way?
Edit: I found the answer at the antec site. It is in fact a double-hinge door and opens 270...
I've been looking at this, but the "sneak peek" thread about it isn't too encouraging, and I'm not sure I want to deal with nforce. Thanks for the link, but I don't think this board is for me.
I think I'm going to take this advice. I've been reading about RAM speeds on these boards and 1333...
Are you talking about the red one here?

What's the deal with the "SLI 8800 GTX and below" line? Does that mean it wouldn't be able to power SLI GX260s?
It's too bad Corsair doesn't have a modular PSU at around the 750w mark.
Thanks for the responses so far. I take it all the talk being centered around hard drives is a sign that the other components are pretty un-controversial together.
As for hard drives, I'm going to start with one 150GB Velociraptor for this build, then I might take the 150GB Velociraptor I'm...
I'm pretty out of touch because it usually takes me 4-5 years to get the urge to build a new system, but the [H] forums have helped tremendously in the last two weeks. I've decided to go the i7 920 route based on the fact that it will probably be awhile before I do this again.
I'm not too...
