I have the lp2475w, and I love it. Out of the box the reds bleed, but once you dial in the profile settings, everything looks fantastic. I just used the profile in the huge lp2475w thread. Great for photos, movies and games.
The problem is the fins on the fan are hitting the fan wire. rip it apart and move the wire out of the way, put some AS5 on it while you're at it. One of my XFX 4890's had the exact same problem. If you don't want to take it apart, you could try just pushing the wire in a little bit to see if it...
I have the x58 SLI and the ocz platinum ram and it runs great except for my bad dimm. running 4gb currently at 7-7-7-24 1600mhz on my 4.2ghz i7.
I couldn't justify spending $50 more for a dominator kit running at the same timings.
I have two XFX 4890's, one is dead silent with the fan on auto and idling, the other has the same defect I have seen around the forums regarding a rattling noise reminiscent of a bicycle wheel being spun.
It's at 60hz, it shows 'active digital' for a second, but it never displays a picture. Hopefully tomorrow this will be a non-issue. I have only been able to test it using DVI, my laptop lacks HDMI, and my VGA port is male, the cable they provided is also male.
It won't turn on at all without...
Right. In theory it should be fine, but it won't display higher than 1024x768 currently, and my laptop maxes at 1440x900. I have tried every resolution up to that cap, and it won't turn on.
I bought mine back in December based on this thread from amazon, I love it. Zero dead pixels. The model is - GIG 122, November '08 - China.
I can't get it to display any higher than 1024x768, but I have it hooked up using DVI to my laptop until the parts listed in my sig arrive tomorrow. Laptop...
I also ordered one of the XT's from ewiz the other day, it came out to $232 shipped. They only had the XT in stock, I would have bought a vanilla instead if it was available. A couple minutes later I got a vanilla from newegg for $228 AR.
Thanks for the advice fellas, I decided to go with an i7 build, I like the option of having both xfire and SLI immediately available. I just ordered the TX850 to power it.
I've been lurking here for years, but I am about to pull the trigger on a build, and now I need some direct advice.
I am looking at picking up the 620hx and 2x xfx 4890's, with an e8400.
I will have one HD, and one optical drive.
My goal is to oc the cpu to at least 4.0ghz using a true...
