actually i have a very similar system to the fellow you quoted there and i agree with him. just out of curiousity i did a quick fraps run on the Nova Prospekt level(with a nice boatload of antlions around) and even though i didn't have the time to do a nice long bench that way my results were...

i also came from an over-clocked 9800 and was simply overjoyed at finally being able to get a card that would let me enjoy the monitor i got this year(22" nec multisync) in it's native res of 1600x1200 at playable framerates and more. me loves my GT :D

from what i understand those "extra" frames get blended somehow into the final output...but don't ask me how the hell it's done as i haven't become quite obsessed enough to know that yet :D
