@rhouck, I've found the reflections off the ceiling to be minimal. They're there but they don't bother me enough to paint the ceiling. The wall paint alone was an extremely vast improvement over all my previous setups.

I have the veris basic because I didn't need the screen but it seems to work great for me. I have it programmed to my harmony remote and never have troubles with it.
I use Ember Media Manager. The main project was abandoned but was kept alive by some forum members. It's still the best program that I've come across so far.
I have screen envy. I should built a bigger screen now that I don't have to worry about having it hang across windows or anything. I used those exact side tables as speaker stands in my last apartment too.
