I agree the mx1100 sucks. The lag on small movements is horrible. I can barely use it. heck, with this mouse i have a hard time clicking the start menu button. :( ..unless I get right over it the first try moving the mouse quickly. Searching the Internet it's a common complaint on the...
ah this thread brings back memories. Was big into SGI machines back in the 1990s...anyone remember the SGI Magic Bus??? Other 3D players were Accelgraphics and the one from Mitsubishi....remember their 3D ram? Evans and Sutherland? Intergraph had some neat 3D workstations back then...
Those temps sound typical. I was hitting nearly 100C with a TRUE RT with a 920 @ 4GHz 1.27 volts. I lapped it and the temps went down to upper 70s to mid 80s. I'm using the standard FDB fan that came with it so it's not the fastest fan in the world. I like it because it's quiet though.
Anyone know if any of the 285 cards will be available to someone with a 280? I'm not sure I want the extra heat or power requirements of a 295. One of the OCed 285s might be a good trade-up.
buy.com is slower than a dead snail stuck in superglue when it comes to shipping. I placed two separate orders with one item each on Friday and they still haven't shipped. One was a g00gle checkout order using the $10 coupon (never used g00gle CO before). All the other orders I placed on...
what's with all the DFI h8? I have a DFI SLI-DR Expert board and this thing owns my nuts. Overclocked Opteron 170 to 2.75 with only slight raise in voltage (1.4V). works great and use RMClock to idle down to FID 5 and 1 volt. I tried my best to get it to crash but making the voltage go up...
There's talk that the new revisions are reporting more accurate temps. I have a new board I got last week and the temps seem fine as far as I can tell. Low 30s at idle, 46ish at full prime burn. currently idle now at 24C with the chip at 1.05V 1375MHz. This is an Opteron 170 2.75GHz @ 1.4V...
Most of that seems to be talking about it being damaged as a result of modifying it. I think that's what their main concern is based on my ATI and BFG experiences...
BFG basically has the same thing in their warranty terms: http://www.bfgtech.com/tech_redux.html
