I yanked the HSF with cpu stuck on it so many times. Just use a flat screwdriver carefully ply the cpu off the HSF and look see if any pin missing. If not, you can just put it back to the socket and should good to go. Those cpu are pretty tough.

If 3 of you chip in together to get some from monoprice/ebay, it shouldn't cost your more than couple bucks each.
