Where are the next gen MMO's?

Same! Hopefully I can get it working on linux! Follow-up: The game uses easy anticheat but it's looking like the devs aren't supporting the linux runtime (yet?). From the discord it sounds like the game ran OK on linux before the anticheat was added.

    HELLDIVERS II

The game is jolly good fun with a group. I love seeing difficulty settings add mechanics rather than only scaling health/damage. The directional arrow minigame for calldowns/objectives is genius. The 2 enemy factions give a lot of variety in strategy and loadouts. The effort put into the cheesy...

    Palworld

I have about 15 hours in it so far--the core elements are good but it has a lot of room to grow into something better. Some nice things: Big map to explore with many different 'pals' No crashes or gamebreaking issues so far (linux+proton) Progression seems reasonably implemented. Everything...

    Tribes 3: Rivals

Neat. Could be really cool if they leaned harder into the mobility angle and added titanfall's grappling gun and wall running on top of the skiing/jetpack. I'd settle for a simple remake though!

    Payday 3

I'm calling it quits after 20 minutes stuck on the matchmaking screen while making a 'friends only' lobby. The gameplay from the beta stress test weekend seemed good but I've got better things to do than sit in a queue without knowing the progress.

    BattleBit Remastered

Long time battlefield fan and I say this is good. It's a 3 person dev team so don't expect miracles as they get things started but the core mechanics are very reminiscent of battlefield's better days. I suspect the quality of voice chat will degrade as the community grows, but for now it's an...

Diablo IV - The Real Official Thread

Works great on linux without too much difficulty setting up.

    Voidtrain

I've got about 16 hours in it (solo) and I think I've seen most of the current content. I don't recommend the game for most people. It might be great for keeping children busy for a while. Most of the content is tedious rather than rewarding after the magic of building a bigger train wears off...

    Kerbal Space Program 2

System requirements are pretty high, it better be pretty.

Pulsed helium3 fusion in a magnetic bottle, not lasers or same old tokawhatever...

This is one of my favorite things to share when fusion's slow progress is brought up:

    Dwarf Fortress

The game is now available. The new UI and quality of life changes are great; I like playing the game without so much eye strain. Adventure mode isn't available (yet). For those new to the game, have Fun! The dwarf fortress wiki is a great resource, but it isn't currently updated for the new...

    Dwarf Fortress

The long awaited Dwarf Fortress premium comes to Steam on December 6. Fully new user interface, art, music. The game won't be any easier but at least it'll be playable!

Every man needs a four pack - flashlights 10 bucks shipped

Some folks go HARD on the best, some folks go HARD on the savings. Both are welcome here ;) also--deal is dead, $22 now.

Every man needs a four pack - flashlights 10 bucks shipped

Not a headlamp, but IMO the Fenix PD35 is the best flashlight around. Small, durable, bright, and long lasting with a good 18650 battery. My PD35 is ~7 years old and it's every bit as good as the day I bought it; stuff like OP is practically disposable which might be OK for keeping in the car...
