Nec 20WMGX2 LOVE IT... as good as my Sony G420 if not better.

I have some bad backlight bleeding it kinda has lessened. I still might return it. I have had the monitor for 13 days and I LOVE it. I too hope that the backlight totally goes away. Thanks for the updated on how much you got it for as I paid 799 for at it Fry's and now it is 697. Going back...

I have been using the NEC 20WMGX2. Color is great and there is no color shifting from top to bottom of the screen. I really only use this for my design work, Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXpress etc.... It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Good luck with your decision. -Dave

Pick up the monitor tonight, been working on some logos for about an hour and messing around and surfing with the NEC. Screen looks amazing, text is so clear and bright there is no fading colors from top to bottom at all. Colors DO NOT shift at all when your tilt your head or what not.. BIG...

xXxDieselxXx are you using VGA or DVI? Also have you guys used it for any design work with photoshop, illustrator? how is it with desktop apps surfing, word etc...? I really do not play allot of games on the PC I want this monitor for my graphic design work.

Looks smooth! so was there any banding in the gradients? Since you reduced it it is hard to tell.

Got one on hold at Fry's going to pick it up tonight to test it against my LG L203WT... Hope is deals with the colors better with less banding's and better viewing angles. -Dave

Picked up this LG L203WT - 300 cd/m2 - 1400:1 - 8ms at BestBuy this weekend. Pretty nice, the viewing angles are limited and there is some slight color banding, but it is a very nice monitor. Photoshop looked pretty good and the banding was not as noticeable in the app. Did not notice any...

Intersting... I might try another one as it was pretty good other than that HUGE issue for me.

I think I am giong to try the NEC 20WMGX2 LCD... it has a 1600:1 contrast ratio that just might do the trick for Graphic design work? I can get my hands on the 24 Sony GDM-FW900 widescreen CRT for about 200-300 but it is so big and weights so much... Kinda really want to find a LCD for under...
