    Temperature Monitor

I just purchased a new EVGA 7900 and since this is my first experience with nVidia cards, I was wondering what the best application is for monitoring the card temperature in game. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    CPU Temp. Program

I'll try SpeedFan, thank you. I've tried MBM before (in fact I use it on my other computer) but unfortunately it isn't compatable with my motherboard. :(

    CPU Temp. Program

I need a good free program to monitor my North Bridge and CPU temperatures on my MSI 925X Neo Platinum. For some reason or another the program (CoreCenter) that came with the board doesn't work at all. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Looking for a new HSF

Well, if you can deal with the noise, get the thermaltake CL-P0006 HS (viewable here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106045) and attach an 80mm Vantec Tornado to it (viewable here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=11-999-612&depa=1). If you want to control...

Wow. Just....wow. (56k warning, big pics)

Well, I must say, that is pretty horrible. I've seen some bad stuff, like piles of dust in peoples' CPU heatsinks and hair carpeting their case, but that just takes the cake. Luckily, I don't have these problems, mainly cause I constantly clean my case. But yeah, the best thing to do is...

I've been waiting for the Google toolbar for FireFox, 'bout time. :D

    Command Prompt

EDIT: Well, I'm retarded. I did a search on my computer and found AUTOEXEC.NT in C:\WINDOWS\repair. And after a little research, I found that C:\WINDOWS\repair is a directory where backed up files are kept in case the origionals get trashed. All I had to do was copy AUTOEXEC.NT from there to...

    Command Prompt

I am trying to make a bootable floppy with an MS-DOS batch file installer. Every time I open the batch file, Windows says: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to...

Need advice on case airflow...and fan...

I'm sure you could trust them on the specifications. If you want to see a large selection of fans, go to: http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Category.asp?Category=11

Any controllers to slow down the noise from vantec tornado?

The Vantec Nexus fan controller has worked wonders for me, as said above, "cheap and effective." http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=13-999-502&depa=1 (Black) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813999503 (Silver)

    Dust!!

I need to know if using an air compressor is a good idea to get the dust off my heatsink and motherboard. I don't think it will be a problem, but I just wanted to be sure before I go and do it.

    NV Silencer 5 or stock...

Arctic Cooling is a good cooling company. They make the best graphics card coolers I know of. Its a good cooler for that card, but if you don't want to void warranty, then don't get it. I've know some people who wrecked 400-500 dollar cards trying to install card coolers. I myself have installed...

Is it alright to run a power hungry fan off a mobo fan connector?

A good fan control program is SpeedFan. And as others said, you should get a converter and run the fan off the power supply. I've had my own destructive problems with connecting high voltage fans to my mobo connectors.

    Do CPUs "age"?

First thing I would do is check the BIOS, make sure all the settings in there aren't wrong. If that don't help, then I don't know what else you could do. Hope you get your comp going smoothe again, though. :)
