Good on [H] for sticking to their guns. Honestly, I would think a majority of the readers here aren't in a rush to buy the 20-series at inflated launch prices. Wait for launch drivers, push out the review a couple weeks after launch and I don't think anyone will be annoyed at the "lateness"...
Why not blame nvidia/amd for not pumping out enough GPUs to meet the on-going mining demand? It's not like they don't have years sales data to predict these things.
Looking at getting a GTX1070, also waiting to see what the board partners do. I was originally planning to just pony up for the FE, but getting a cheaper model and buying a water-block for my H220 might be the best solution.
Make sure you enable pass-through in your application, that way it'll ignore whatever windows thinks it can support and stream DD/DTS directly and not decode it locally and output PCM
Yeah the black friday deal on the 980 was $140 off + 30 MIR so it's seems like a really good deal (in canada anyway). I have until EOD tomorrow to buy it at that price, currently got some ads up to try and sell my 680 for ~200 which seems fair based on what's on ebay.ca
For additional reference the MSI 970 is $497CAD w/tax :(
GTX 970 - $497
GTX 980 - $636
GTX980ti - $904
Our dollar really isn't doing well. Maybe I should wait for the nextgen and our economy to recover.
Hey Guys,
I ordered a MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G into my local shop on a black friday special, works out to be $636CAD with tax and after $30 MIR. I got that new Dell G-sync monitor so i was all hot and heavy to upgrade my GTX680 after realizing I cant run rocket league at full quality at 144fps...
